Protecting Your Customer with a Digital Certificate

When your business counts on the Internet as its main source of customers and you expect them to feel comfortable spending their money, you have to be prepared to offer them some form of guarantee that that all of their private information will be safe. There is only one universally accepted form of protection that is going to make your customer feel comfortable and that is the digital certificate.

The digital certificate is issued by a certificate authority like Digi-Sign and is in the form of an encryption key that is divided into two parts. Each half of the key is used for one part of the transaction. The buyer uses the first half of the key when he makes his purchase online and the seller uses the other half is used by the seller to complete the transaction. As you must have both halves of the key to read the entered data, this system is considered to be very secure.
