Better Security Using a PKI Certificate

In the IT world, security is everything. From locking down web sites to securing software access and denying access to specific files or databases, the need for security has grown exponentially as the number of people online has exploded. The PKI Certificate is an authentication method that uses a digital certificate issued by a certificate authority to verify your digital signature and grant you access to the secured information.
The typical PKI Certificate consists of a two form authentication system that uses a public key to encrypt the information and a matching private key to grant you access to it or to decrypt it back into something that can be read and used. Without this type of security the safe transmission of confidential information across the Internet would be far more difficult and in many cases virtually impossible to guarantee. Unless the receiving party has the private key, any information will remain so encrypted that it is completely indecipherable.
