Control Internet Access by Using Two Factor Authentication

There are different situations where you will want to consider using two factor authentication for added security. Internet access is one situation where you can use this type of authentication. You can control which of your employees have access to the internet. Without this type of authentication, your employees will not be able to connect to the internet or access different websites. This will allow you to better manage your bandwidth by keeping employees, who do not require internet access, from using up bandwidth.

Two Factor Authentication Can Be Used with Your VPN

Another situation where you should use two factor authentication is with your virtual private network, or VPN. Since your employees normally access your VPN while working remotely, you can prevent unauthorized access to your company’s resources with this type of authentication. You employees can use a USB token key containing the authentication information and not worry about leaving their laptop unattended in a room, when they are out of the office. Any unauthorized users attempting to connect to the VPN will be denied access, since they will not have the USB token key.
